Bible Concordance: Index of Old Testament passages
A concordance like this webpage is a reference tool that lists words, phrases, or in this case, Bible verses found in a document or group of documents. Concordances are helpful in studying the Bible and other literary works. Two key aspects of a concordance are:
Alphabetical Listing: Words are typically listed in
alphabetical order. In this case, the Bible verses are listed in the order in which they appear in
the Bible. So, Bible verses in Genesis are listed first while those in Revelation will be listed
last.
References: Each entry includes references to the pages where the verse appears. That will allow you to locate the uses of a Scripture verse on the entire website
