Welcome, new pastor
A way for district missions leaders to start a relationship with new pastors
At a district Nazarene Missions International convention in Oklahoma, we welcomed each
pastor who had arrived on the district after the previous year's district convention with a sack
full of little gifts. Even with all the items listed below, the total cost per sack (including the sack)
was very little. Almost all the items were purchased in large grocery stores or at Walmart. The
darts were purchased in a sporting goods store. The bi-lingual stickers were leftovers from a
Nazarene Missions Team promotion.
Only a couple of the items listed below relate specifically to Oklahoma. With very little
adaptation, this idea could be used on any district.
