The Oklahoma Society for Science and Faith logo is a Venn diagram superimposed by a labyrinth. The labyrinth, or maze, represents the search for truth, which is difficult to ascertain. The circles of the Venn diagram represent science and religious faith. Some maintain that science and religious faith are two mutually exclusive domains or "non-overlapping magisteria." Science deals only with nature and is necessarily silent on matters concerning the supernatural ("supra" or above nature). Similarly, theology is a unique way of "knowing" and utilizes nonscientific methods in the search for truth. A useful analogy is that science and religious faith are two separate windows through which we can view the world.

The Society maintains that science and theology can be viewed to interact in positive ways supporting each other in a common quest to find God's truth. God's Word and God's Works (nature) both speak to truth and work in tandem in revealing God's attributes. Therefore, the Venn diagram is not meant to suggest an overlap of methods and practices but rather a positive synthesis of our scientific knowledge and religious faith as it pertains to finding truth. For each person, that search moves concomitantly between science and faith as the labyrinth demonstrates. The goal is to find common ground - that truth to which science and faith can positively contribute.
