How to get Excel spreadsheets into WebSTATISTICA:

Ó 2004, Right Brain, Ink.

Unless you have purchased your own academic copy of STATISTICA, there is no reason to try to upload or download your data file.  Instead, you may wish to save your data in an Excel spreadsheet to keep on your own C drive.

Suppose you would like to copy these data:

First highlight the area you would like to save:

Go up to Edit and select copy.  Immediately, this box will come up:

This is telling you that in order to copy the data you will have to press Ctrl C.  Do that and the box either disappears.  Then, open an Excel file, put your cursor on A 1 and then paste.  The data will fill in.

Save the file.

If you need to take data FROM Excel to STATISTICA, highlight the data in the Excel sheet, go up to Edit and copy the data.  Place your cursor on the STATISTICA file where you want the data to go and paste it in.  STATISTICA will direct you to press Ctrl V, which after you do, the data will copy into the STATISTICA data file.  If there are more data than empty boxes in STATISTICA, you will be prompted that the data will exceed the cache and do you want to expand it.  Simply reply yes or okay.  Then the data will be copied in.
