What is ovulation?

Ovulation occurs 14 days after the onset of the period in a 28 day cycle. Ovulation always occurs 14 days BEFORE the onset of your period. The egg is capable of being fertilized for 24 hours, although ovulation itself only takes about two minutes to complete.

There are many plans and methods and devices that can be bought to help determine when a woman ovulates. These can be found by asking your doctor. But those who choose to do it themselves must be aware of what doesn't work.
