Welcome!
- You have found the Wesleyan Philosophical Society's official website and online journal.
-
Purpose
 | To promote and provide a forum for philosophy emerging from a distinctively Wesleyan
perspective. (No one type, tradition, or methodology will be regarded as normative.) |
 | To promote philosophy in Wesleyan communities, including colleges, universities,
seminaries, denominations, centers for the study of Wesleyan thought, local congregations,
and other arenas. |
 | To promote the interaction among and provide support for philosophers within the
Wesleyan tradition. |
Activities
Initially, the primary activities of the Wesleyan Philosophical Society will be two.
First, the society will hold an annual meeting, which will consist mainly of papers
given by WPS members. Second, the society will officiate an online journal (what you
are reading here) consisting of papers written by
philosophy scholars. In an effort
to encourage college students to write higher quality philosophy papers, a section of the
journal will include essays written by undergraduates.
