Tears from an angel

Rain was falling.

An angel crying.

How can it be that a luminous being

could be so stricken with sorrow and grief?

So I went up to her and I said "May I help?"

She lifted her head and replied "You do care!"

and her sorrows she began to share.

As I listened to her,

rain then no longer fell

and a peace began filling the place,

and a wonderful smile appeared before my eyes

and she took the sky on her wings.

Everyday it rains, it is hard to forget

of that day that an angel I met.

As I see the sunshine, through those dark, saddened clouds,

and remember her beautiful face.
