Paintbrush of the Heart

The brush is dipped in red and gold

To paint my heart with courage bold.

I'll be strong and trust, the truth I'll hold

Striving for what's right as I grow old.

The brush is dipped in the color blue

To paint my heart with a kindness hue.

To be a friend to others and to you

Bringing joy and goodness in all I do.

The brush is dipped with a purple shade

To paint my heart with loyalty that won't fade.

I'll stand for what's right, the foundations laid

True to the end, the price is paid.

The brush is dipped in the color green

To paint my heart with love's gleam.

On the side of good and loyalty I'll lean

I'll strive to be the best that I have seen.

The brush is dipped in the color white

To paint my heart with purity's light.

Evil thoughts, schemes, and desires I'll fight

And hold on to goodness with all my might.

The brush was dipped in colors for me

To paint my heart brightly for all to see.

I'll live life to its fullest ... for that's the key

To be God's best is what I'll be.
