poofing closets longing with snippets of striving somedays
passive stacks pleading with tokens of avid maybes
bunchy bundles believing with bits of enthusiastic
jammed drawers dreaming with remnants of ardent
crammed boxes bursting with segments of spirited
lined cubbyholed craving with scraps of zealous
crowded crates swearing with slivers of earnest if-onlies
filled files yearning with fragments of fervent intend-to's
I simply stroll the rat race intermittently stopping to
ignore the rose.
I'm not quite a chould-have-been with many a sporadic
I vow to probably promise to possibly expect to
I swear to perhaps aspire to assuredly plan to maybe
But don't you try to cheer me down,
on my success you can almost bet.
For I'm a positively focused,
committed gifted might-just-yet.
