Hope

Beyond the darkest walls of doubt

Somebody sits there to wait.

My fears and tears have no clout

Over the love I think I hate.

Beyond the darkest walls of doubt

His shoulders bow with my sin's weight.

These bricks of cynicism block the route

That leads to my soul's heavenly fate.
