The Road Is Long to Daylight
Rick Beuttenmuller
The road is long to daylight
My throat is dry from thirst
My feet are torn from walking
But my heartache - it hurts worse
My brain from thought is throbbing
From pain I shriek and curse
Pleasant memories, dead, are dying
Behold the famous verse!
This is the game that never ends
It just goes on and on my friends
The maker started playing it,
Not knowing what it was
Will we continue living it
Forever - just because?
