Dull alarm clock wakes in routine; same time every morning. Fake smile greets without fail. Inhabitants file into economized kitchen. Coffee is always in disposable mug inside efficient microwave. Cheap car frame hauls to work. Hope cheap car frame will not break in case of accident. Desks are packed like commodities in the office. Cheap candy-wrappers fall into manufactured trash cans at the door. Gray computers sit atop each desk. They process by hard drives. Fingers click at smooth keyboards; cannot stop, work to do. Credit card always pays for lunch. Opaque cells phone buzzes. It is supplied by job. To only be used on job. Study vinyl-coated book at hard desk. Store all books in durable containers. Water-resistant watch states time to go home. Wife with synthetic parts waits. Microwave dinners will be ready soon. We are free from wear and tear. We hope decay-proof warranty will last longer than expected.
